J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has introduced new features on its liquidity management platform, Morgan Money, in Singapore and Australia.
The enhancements, already being used by JPMAM clients in the United States and Europe, are now made available to Asia-Pacific corporate and institutional cash investors to meet their increasing demand for technological solutions that help streamline operations and optimize investment processes.
Morgan Money is a global trading platform designed to offer robust short-term investment management solutions. It manages US$312 billion on behalf of more than 5,000 corporate and institutional cash investors globally (as of February 1).
One of the new features is its open-architecture functionality, which enables agnostic trading for liquidity investors across various fund providers, currencies and trade settlement options, making Morgan Money a single access point for operations. This flexibility is deemed crucial for investors who want to retain direct relationships with their fund providers while consolidating all trading and risk reporting on one platform.
Morgan Money is also made available as a Software as a Service (SaaS) in the form of a white-label solution, enabling financial institutional intermediaries such as banks, asset managers, and the like in the region to leverage JPMAM’s advanced money market solutions and trading technology while retaining their own brand identity. This feature allows these institutions to offer high-quality, technologically advanced solutions to their clients in a cost-effective and efficient manner, without the need to build their own platform.
Responding to the growing need for mobility and flexibility among APAC investors, Morgan Money is now available as a mobile app. The Morgan Money mobile trading app allows clients to manage their investments on the go. With an industry-leading interface, the app provides real-time access to account information, enabling users to execute transactions, review monthly statements, and manage risk with dual approval trade flow controls.
Gaining significant traction among APAC investors is the cash optimizer feature. This rules-based investing tool aims to optimize returns on excess cash investments through fully automated trading models. It currently connects to preferred bank demand deposit accounts and sets investment rules across over 400 available money market funds from more than 30 fund providers.
By automating trading models and reducing manual intervention, the cash optimizer helps investors mitigate risk and reduce errors, ultimately improving their return on investment (ROI) and operational efficiency.
Morgan Money also offers integration solutions through global strategic partners, including the latest partnership with Kyriba, a global leader in cloud-based treasury, cash, and risk management solutions. These integrations enable investors to connect their existing treasury management systems with Morgan Money, facilitating secure trading, improved operational efficiency, and seamless connectivity.
"The region's dynamic and rapidly evolving financial landscape demands innovative solutions that provide greater flexibility and efficiency. Through consistent innovation, we are committed to delivering an exceptional client experience, making Morgan Money a forward-looking solution in the realm of treasury and cash management,” says Paul Przybylski, global head of product and Morgan Money at JPMAM.
