HSBC has appointed Gautam Anand as global coordinator for global India, MENA and Europe, global private banking, South Asia, effective December 1.

In an internal memo, Tommy Leung, head of global private banking, South Asia, says HSBC aims to be Asia’s leading wealth manager, and its strategy is to grow Singapore as an international wealth hub. Anand’s appointment “will further support our private banking business and our ability to serve clients across markets”, Leung notes.
