Value Partners names new CEO

Hong Kong-listed asset manager Value Partners Group has appointed June Wong as chief executive officer, effective July 1. She joined the group in October 2021, and served most recently as its president. She was appointed as an executive director of the board on January 24 2022 and is currently a member of the leadership committee and the risk management committee of the group.

Asia high-yield bond ETF sees strong demand

Investor interest in Asia’s high-yield bond market has remained strong despite challenges faced by the Chinese economy. Tabula Investment Management says its Asia ex-Japan High Yield Corporate USD Bond ESG UCITS ETF saw about US$75 million in new inflows in May alone. The ETF, which only launched in September last year, now has over US$250 million in assets under management.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management has launched a new digital solution for investments in private assets such as private equity, real estate, and infrastructure. The Private Assets Portal offers clients real-time access to all information regarding their investments in private asset funds to which they subscribed via electronic signature.

New Xtrackers ETF features net zero pathway

German asset manager DWS has launched a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) that provides exposure to mid- and large-cap US equities aligned with the objective of transforming economies to net zero. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, Xtrackers Net Zero Pathway Paris Aligned US Equity ETF tracks the Solactive ISS ESG United States Net Zero Pathway Enhanced Index.

Munich Re appoints new Singapore CEO

Munich Re has appointed Tobias Frenz as chief executive officer of its Singapore branch, effective July 1. He succeeds James Park, who is leaving to pursue a new opportunity outside of the group. Frenz takes on the role of CEO Singapore in addition to his existing responsibility as head of digital solutions, life and health, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
